These include&nbsp;<em>Charlesworth, Brookes, Simpkin, Pike, Reckless, Melhern and Butler.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Equally, the products of the confectionery industry, like British wine, twelfth cakes, funeral biscuits, turtle soup, comfits and \u2018spice\u2019, are just as fascinating as the people that made and sold them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As well as Nether Edge History Group\u2019s recent publications (Local Walks and NENG\u2019s 50th&nbsp;anniversary book), the friends of Sheffield General Cemetery are bringing their book&nbsp;<em>Sweet Remembrance \u2013 The Confectioners of Sheffield General Cemetery<\/em>&nbsp;for purchase before and after the talk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Directions \u2013 Follow signs around the hotel to their Laura Ashley rooms inside old Kenwood House<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Refreshments \u2013 Hotel Bar available for drinks before and after the talk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Car Parking \u2013 Plenty of on street parking.
